Description

In this sweeping and personal exhibition, six Asian Pacific American artists respond to the callous violence of war by rendering violent imagery banal. Yukiyo Kawano’s life-size replica of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima constructed with kimono silk and her own hair is especially poignant amidst new anxieties over nuclear war. The multimedia installations from Phong and Sarah Nguyen, Patrick Nagatani, Noa Batle, and Thomas Dang further recast these images of destruction
