The film tracks the progress of each candidate working to win over enthusiastic and skeptical voters. Myya Jones, a Black 22-year-old, casts a bid for the Detroit mayorship. Bryn Bird quits her farming career to try to become the township trustee. And Julie Cho wants to capture the hearts (and votes) of Republicans in an Illinois race for state representative. $12

Moss Volume 5 Launch
Hosted by Hugo House, the literary journal Moss will celebrate its fifth edition with an online event starring writers, editors, and scholars who contribute to this Pacific Northwest publication. As part of Seattle Center’s Virtual Festál 2020 series, the 22nd annual iteration of this celebration of Brazilian culture will livestream events that highlight food, music, and capoeira, a kind of martial arts incorporating dance and acrobatics. The event is free, but donations are welcomed. 12pm
