Ulta Beauty, should you be among the uninitiated, is a florescent-lit house of all things beauty: stations of beloved cosmetic brands, skin care lines, hair care products, and fragrances, all in one place. There are even full-service salons inside stores. Card carrying beauty hounds love a good Ulta haul, and now they can get one in West Seattle starting this month.
This Illinois-based beauty retailer is in full-on expansion mode, with plans to have 1,000 Ulta Beauty stores in the US by 2017, which, why yes, includes a new outpost in West Seattle's Delridge neighborhood. Ulta Beauty has taken over the space formerly known as Pier 1 Imports in the Westwood Village shopping center, and has been in the works since last year, reports West Seattle Blog.
But just last week, Ulta announced on Facebook that it will officially open on April 14.
All weekend long, from April 14 through 16, the Westwood Village's Ulta will have a jubilant grand opening from 10am to 6pm, celebrating each day by giving the first 100 shoppers an "Ulta Beauty treat" valued anywhere from $5 to $100. Like the Easter egg hunt of beauty brands, you may get a kit of luscious serums and moisturizers, or you may just win a nail file—the equivalent to finding a dirty penny inside a hard-fought plastic egg.
