In 2015, Aesop came from the land down under to Fremont, opening a clean-lined, modern day apothecary space to match its utilitarian-styled products. Now, the Australian-born brand has opened up shop on Capitol Hill at 321 East Pine.
It’s one of the latest to call the new Excelsior Apartment building home, which despite being a newly minted mixed-used development will keep the auto row era facade. From that jumping off point, Aesop’s 760 square-foot boutique will intermingle the existing historic idiosyncrasies with a prevailing mineral grey palette, all to highlight the plant-based skin, hair, and body products therein.
Meanwhile Downtown, corner space windows at 7th Ave and Pine are overlaid with ivy wallpaper as a new Club Monaco builds out a new store, one that’s not too far from its sibling inside Pacific Place. There’s no indication if the Pacific Place shop is relocating to these street level digs or when an opening will be. Stay tuned for more details as we have them on that front.
For now, let’s just pray that this Club Monaco also houses a cafe by Hugh Acheson, or you know, any local coffee shop of which Seattle has many.
