Betabrand, the startup out of San Francisco that brought us yoga dress pants, announced today that they're launching an online contest to best dress the (possibly maybe) First Gentleman Bill Clinton. And it actually seems pretty great.
"America’s potential first First Gentleman could spawn a renaissance in male fashion, so we’re staging a Web-wide design contest to prepare for this possibility," is the quote from founder Chris Lindland, noting: "Since the world was first introduced to Jackie O., fashionistas have had First Ladies under constant surveillance. So, it only makes sense that they’d follow Bill Clinton’s every outfit if his wife is elected president. Right?" (Yes, it does!)
Basically, you download the Bill models, design on his paper doll form (either scanning in your designs or via photoshop) and enter your looks here. Then you may share across your internet world (social media and email) in order to get votes. Do you think you have what it takes to accurately win an internet contest dressing Bill Clinton? Sure you do! You have until 12 p.m. PST on August 11, 2016 to enter, and the prize is an oil painting of you as President (I know, this just gets better and better). Somebody better include some balloons as his accessories if they're serious about winning, however.
