Pike Place Evening Market Opening Celebration
Weaving through tourists who are leisurely wandering the market should be considered a recreational sport. Luckily with the new Pike Place Evening Market launching this week, locals can avoid this. It all kicks off with an opening ceremony this Wednesday from 5 to 8. The first 100 market shoppers will receive a Pike Place Market apron and tote bag, plus there will be special guests and music throughout the event. The evening market will continue every Wednesday from 5 to 8 through Oct 12.

National Doughnut Day with Rodeo Donuts
Another day, another food “holiday”. Still, the brioche-based doughnuts from Rodeo Donuts are certainly worth celebrating this Friday. In honor of this national day of glazed goods, you can pre-order a dozen of their doughnuts for $20 via any Cupcake Royale; fritters and lassos are just a phone call away, but order by noon on Thursday, June 2. The dozen set includes flavors like huckleberry, gingered blueberries, honey blood orange, apple bourbon fritters, and more.

Last Tavolàta Sunday Feast of the Season
In this farewell feast, chef Adam Buzzalini is creating a multicourse meal spotlighting swine: from housemade porchetta with morels to potato gnocchi with braised pork cheek and English peas. Oh, and a whole, roasted pig. NBD. The pork-filled dinner begins at 6 and is $65 per person; call to reserve your spot. Friendly reminder: This will be the last Sunday feast at Tavolàta for the summer until it resumes in September.

Negroni Week Is Baaaack...
...and bigger than last year. A whopping 50 local bars are slinging variations of the citrusy and amaro-forward cocktail June 6 through June 12. For Negroni Week, participating bars like Still Liquor, Canon, Good Bar, Liberty, and even newcomer Mamnoon Street are donating a portion of negroni sales to charities of their choice. It’s about drinking up and giving back—with Anthony Bourdain’s favorite cocktail in hand.
Kasama Dinner Popup
Kraken Congee chef, Garrett Doherty, is collaborating in his subterranean restaurant in Pioneer Square again. This time he joins forces with Dorothy Hernandez and Jake Williams, the duo behind the Detroit-based Filipino popup called Sarap. Their collective six-course meal will include vinegar and soy sauce–braised duck adobo, beef heart and cheek bistek with morels, fiddleheads, and coconut rice, and for dessert a pandan and chocolate semifreddo cake with mango. Tickets are $45 per person; choose between a 6:30 or an 8:30 seating.
Ticket Alert: Elysian Brewery Is Throwing a Big Anniversary Bash
This Seattle brewery is all grown up and will be throwing a helluva party on Saturday, June 11 to prove it. There will be, of course, no shortage of beer or food: over 40 brews on tap at just $3 per pour, plus Bluebird Microcreamery, Hallava Falafel, and Snout and Co. providing life-saving grub. The revelry also includes live music by The Black Lips, The Ravonettes, Ming City Rockers, and The Gits with Rachel Flotard. As for the warm fuzzies bit, 100 percent of ticket sales will go to local charities like Bloodworks NW, and the Fisher House Foundation. And the nitty gritty details: Elysian celebrates its 20th year at the Seattle Center from 2 to 10, tickets are $30, and, yes folks, it’s 21 and over.
