On Saturday, November 26, International District business owners are running a “Shop Small, Shop Ethnic" Holiday Pop-up Market. All within a 4 block radius in the International District, several stores, restaurants, cafes and a museum, will present under $100 holiday gift ideas that runs the gamut of foodies, tea and coffee lovers, aspiring interior decorators and fashionistas. Bonus: there will be live ice carving (with selfie opportunities, people!) and a "Food Walk" of $2–4 bites.
As part of Ethnic Seattle (part of non-profit Ethnic Business Coalition), this is the second year the organization has helped local minority and immigrant owned businesses reach consumers with gift packages, as well as the first year for the big shopping event.
What: The Ethnic Seattle Holiday Pop-up Market
Where: Chinatown International District; the pop up will be centralized at Hing Hay Park, 423 Maynard Avenue South, and include seven stores, cafes and a museum within a four-block radius, presenting holiday packages, food, drink and more.
When: Saturday, November 26th from 11am to 6pm; including Live Ice Carving, 11:30am–2pm, Selfies with Elfies, 1–4pm and the Food Walk, 3–6pm. The Seahawks Fan Van will also be on site from 2–4pm.
Ethnic Seattle will also host an online market of local, compelling, ethnic gift packages from members for under $100, available throughout the holiday season, launching the 26th. Follow all the details on their website!
