Shave the 'stache

It's already November and Movember, the month-long-no-shave journey to help bring awareness to men's health, begins. Two of Rudy's Barbershops (Pioneer Square and Phinney Ave) are partnering with the Movember Foundation to offer complimentary shaves and trims from 11–7pm. Attendees will receive either a mustache or beard trim (valued at $10) when they donate $5 and a straight razor shave (valued at $40) when they donate $10 .  All proceeds to go directly to the Movember Foundation.

Combining Arts

Butch Blum is partnering with UW Meany Hall of Performing Arts and Ryan James Fine Art Gallery to feature two talented South Korean artists at the downtown Seattle store. Listen to pianist Joyce Yang and artist Jeemin Kim as they discuss their careers and inspirations. Attendees will receive 20 percent off all cocktail apparel and the chance to bid on a Butch Blum gift certificate. Informal modeling of cocktail attire, small bites, and Browne Family Vineyards wine will be included. Runway to Freedom

It’s the seventh annual Runway to Freedom fashion show and auction. Since 2010, Runway to Freedom has been empowering survivors of domestic violence, increasing awareness, and raising funds for local domestic violence programs. Designers include two finalists from the Independent Designer Runway Show Gina Moorhead and Julie Danforth. Gina Moorhead of House of Gina Marie will be debuting her menswear line GrasMark. The menswear line features soft structured blazers with bold patterns. This year’s show will be at the Coterie Worklounge.

Buki Pop-Up Opening
 

It’s already time to start thinking about gifts for the holidays, and Buki is one step ahead of you with the opening of its first interactive pop-up shop. The shop will include the entire fall collection for men and women and give costumers the opportunity to learn more about the brand inspired by Japanese fiber technology. On Saturday at 11am, the celebration weekend begins with in-store activities and a free gift with purchase for the first 50 customers. Be the first to shop the limited-edition gift items including oversize Buki blankets and men’s and women’s Bento Boxes.  The storefront is at 1826 Sixth Avenue and will be continuing through December 31. The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11-6pm (Closed Sunday and Monday).
