The sandwich shop scared us once when the Fremont and Ballard locations closed doors back in 2014, but now Paseo has announced an additional location, reports Eater SeattleThe new Paseo will be on 1760 First Avenue South in Sodo and this time booze will be on the menu.

Dick Spady 
The co-founder of Dick's Drive-In died at age 92 last Sunday reports The Seattle Times, leaving behind seven burger establishments that will continue to be owned by the family.

Tom Douglas Eliminates Tipping at Three Restaurants
Come February 1, The Carlile Room, Dahlia Lounge, and Palace Kitchen will launch straight to $15 an hour and eliminate tipping altogether in lieu of a 20 percent service charge reports The Seattle Times. The entirety of the service charge will be redistributed to the team through wages, commissions, and benefits. By March the remainder of his restaurants will follow suit.

By the end of January, the all-day cafe from the restaurant group behind Barrio and Purple will be open off Leschi's lakeside main drag. 

Marée Bistro & Bar
The couple behind the new bistro opening later this month on Alki will occupy the previous Cassis location, where they were a part of the former restaurant's opening team. The menu will change monthly but include French classics like pâté and salade Lyonnaise.

The owners of Barolo and Mama Melina will open their next Italian restaurant this spring that will join the slew of other anticipated restaurants in Amazon's new Doppler Building. Inspired by Italy's riviera regions, expect local seafood dishes and housemade pastas reports Eater Seattle

Nirmal's Launches Dinner
Pioneer Square's upscale Indian restaurant is now offering dinner Thursday through Saturday. The entrees focus on roasted proteins from the tandoor including cornish game hens, racks of lamb, and fish filets.  

BACK HOME 

Rainier Beer will be brewed in Woodinville
Our erstwhile hometown lager will soon be brewed in Woodinville, reports the Puget Sound Business Journal. But it's complicated. Portland-based Craft Brew Alliance, which also brews Redhook, Widmer, and Kona beers, will start producing Rainier at its Woodinville facility this spring. Rainier is owned by Pabst Blue Ribbon and will continue to be, but the beer will be renamed as Rainier Pale Mountain Ale.
