OPENINGS

Naka
The former Le Zinc address at 14th and Pine is now home to this upscale kaiseki restaurant, where chef Shota Nakajima serves progressions of artful plates meant to evoke the season. And then there's the bar area up front, where bar manager Nik Virrey oversees a prodigious amount of alcohol.

The Stone House Cafe
A historic stone-clad building, originally a service station, now a familiar landmark in Rainier Beach, has been reborn as a neighborhood cafe. The menu consists of brunch-y staples like corn beef hash, croissant French toast, chicken fried steak, as well as a full bar. The outdoor dining area seats 20 and overlooks Lake Washington, while a bakery adjacent to the restaurant produces housemade scones, pastries, cakes, and more.

Piroshky Piroshky
Just one month after opening its third location in Columbia Center, Pike Place Market's Russian bakery is opening its fourth at Westfield Southcenter in Tukwila on Wednesday, July 1. Like last time, the new location will hand out free piroshky from noon to 1pm.

Yeti Bar
Capitol Hill Seattle blog checks in with the newly open cocktail lounge at Broadway's Annapurna Cafe. On the menu: saffron vodka cocktails and Tibetan-style dumplings.

COMING SOON

520 Bar and Grill's yet-to-be-named restaurant at Lincoln Square
The owners of Bellevue's popular pub in the Old Main area are planning a new (and unnamed) restaurant in the equally new Lincoln Square expansion by late 2016, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal. While 520 is relaxed and homey, co-owner Joseph Brazen says the new restaurant will reflect the new 1.5 million square foot tower and its guests, including "worldwide travelers, upscale shoppers, and the vibrant nightlight prevalent in downtown Bellevue."

Feed Co Burger
Eater has a few more details on the new quick-service Redmond burger spot from Scott Staples, the guy behind Restaurant Zoe, Quinn's, and Uneeda Burger. It could open as early as mid-July.

Ernest Loves Agnes
That's the name Guild Seattle restaurant group (Lost Lake Cafe, Comet Tavern, Big Mario's, Grim's) have bestowed upon the Italian restaurant planned for the former home of Kingfish Cafe on Capitol Hill. It's a Hemingway reference; the restaurant/bar/pizzeria is due to open late summer. Read on for restaurant plans and more Hemingway references on Nosh Pit.
