Takes On The Turducken By Meat and Bread And Rhein Haus
Today, delight in Meat and Bread’s rendition of the meta-meat creation, the turducken. Here, you’ll find a duck chorizo stuffed inside a chicken, then further stuffed into a turkey. For today, it replaces a usual menu mainstay: the porchetta sandwich. Both locations will be carving the turducken to order, the Capitol Hill version will be served with slaw, smoked paprika aioli, and potatoes chips while Meat and Bread in South Lake Union has it with caramelized onion, pear mostarda, and sage aioli. Meanwhile at Rhein Haus, the gastropub has a turducken wurst on deck. It’s seasoned with herbs and spices, and served with a white wine gravy plus a side of cranberry mustard. Let the holiday feasting start...now.

Christmas Eve Party At Poco
The wine-and-spirits bar which recently switched ownership is hosting a party for misfits this week (aww). Those without any plans on Christmas Eve are welcome to try seasonal spirits and housemade infusions while festive films play on in the background. Plus, plenty of new Pacific Northwest wines to drink instead of wilting in some form of holiday traffic.

Cocktails For A Cause At Percy’s and Co.
For a really good reason to continue drinking after Christmas and before New Year’s Eve, head to this Ballard restaurant and bar next Tuesday. Percy’s will be hosting a benefit for One Day’s Wages Girl’s Empowerment Fund which helps girls improve their lives through secondary school and vocational training. We’d drink to that. Try a cilantro gin and tonic, a dill-infused vodka with lime and soda, or a sage-infused bourbon with grapefruit juice and soda.There’s a $10 suggested donation and $2 from these select cocktail sales will be donated to the cause.
