After a tortuous and seemingly endless public debate culminating with a 2011 vote to go ahead with the tunnel, we're stuck again. This time literally.

"Bertha" the oh-so-quaintly anthropomorphized boring machine, is stuck on the $4.5 billion subterranean waterfront project. 

Josh recently argued that we should—Al Gore-style—see the disaster as an opportunity and take a different approach to the waterfront by changing course.
