Winter is coming back to HBO Sunday, April 6 when season four of Game of Thrones premieres at 9 pm. If you prefer to see George R.R. Martin’s direwolves, dragons, and dwarves while downing drafts and springwine rather than huddled in your living room like Cersei and her flock during the Battle of Blackwater Bay, these two Seattle viewing parties should be on your radar.
The U-District jazz bar will have a special menu of Westeros-inspired cocktails, mocktails, and meals available during the 4:30 pm screening of the season three finale Mhyssa, and of course for the premiere itself, which kicks off at 6pm, thanks to a feed from the Eastern time zone. The $8 ticket guarantees you seating and a bar credit.
The Capitol Hill venue may have never hosted Mad King Aerys, Robert Baratheon, or even one of their Hands. But it will host its very own Iron Throne (yes, you can sit on it) situated between bar and big screen a man can say for certain King Robert would love to hunt down a spot at Neumos Game of Thrones viewing party this Sunday. The final two episodes of season three start at 7 pm followed by Two Swords at 9. Food and drink specials abound, but you've got to be 21 or older for this one.
