Canal Market Popup

WHERE: Canal Market's new location in Portage Bay at 2919 Fuhrman Ave. E.

WHAT: The anticipated boutique grocery store from Ericka Burke (of Volunteer Park Cafe fame) will open its door a bit earlier than planned to host a holiday popup through Christmas Eve.

You'll find men's accessories from Michael Cepress, handmade stuffed animals, paper goods, and housewares including hand-blown glassware from Bitters Co. And that's really just the start. The popup will also specialize in edible goodies from a number of area producers, plus Burke's own baked goods, pies, dog cookies, jars of caramel sauce, et al.

Lastly, July Floral will be on hand with seasonal wreaths and bouquets. The florist will be a mainstay at the shop once it opens for good this winter.

WHEN: Drop by on Friday, November 21 from 5 to 7 for a launch party with wine and snacks. The popup will then be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 to 7 until it closes on December 24 at 3:00.

Goodies from local shops like E. Smith Mercantile will be available during the popup.
