Admiral Bird
A new West Seattle cafe is located in the front half of flower shop Flower Lab, and is now serving coffee and light breakfast and lunch fare, along with beer, cider, wine, according to West Seattle blog


Madison Park Conservatory
After three years of upscale dining, service, and location, owner Cormac Mahoney is closing the doors after service on February 15. MPC is accepting reservations for their Valentine’s weekend menu, February 14 and 15, which would make for a good date and a fond farewell.


Aloha Ramen
The casual ramen joint is moving north from its current location in Greenwood to Lake City, according to the Phinney Wood blog. Look for the noodle shop to open in Lake City this week.

Bauhaus Books and Coffee
After closing down shop at its iconic location on Capitol Hill due to the building being torn down, Bauhaus has reopened a temporary shop up the street in the former location of the Capitol Club, according to the Capitol Hill Seattle blog. You can also grab a coffee from Bauhaus's other newish location on Market Street in Ballard.


El Borracho
Spanish for "the drunk," El Borracho’s owners announced an opening date for their soon-to-be Ballard location, according to Eater Seattle: February 17. A large choice of tacos and tequilas will be on the menu. In the meantime, check out El Borracho’s other two locations in Pike Place Market or on Leary in Frelard.


Cave Man Kitchen
Kent’s famed smoked barbeque joint was damaged by fire, according to KOMO News. The source of the fire is still unknown, and Cave Man Kitchen is currently closed but should be reopening soon.


Kick Hunger
As we mentioned before last Sunday, local chef John Howie, from the eponymous Bellevue steak house, participated in the NFL’s Kick Hunger Challenge, and we're happy to report Howie won. The chef raised the most money for Food Lifeline and will bring home $83,226 for the local food bank's distribution. “I’m so proud of Seattle and the 12th man…nearly 400,000 meals will be provided to those in need,” said Howie on the win.
