Recently Quinn's sent word that a variation on its epic Beer O'Clock happy hour is becmoing a regular Monday thing. Which served as yet another reminder that our city has an amazing selection of local breweries and bars serving up a tapload of awesome beers. Here are a few of our favorite beercentric happy hours, though with so many great ones out there, a second installment might be a good idea.

Quinn’s Pub
Starting this month it’s half off large-format beer and cider options every Monday from 5 to 11pm at this Pike/Pine pub. The happy hour runs through summer, and the impressive selection of Trappist ales, sours, Belgian, and American craft beers in 22oz, 750ml, and 1.5L bottles are a steal. That leaves more money for the upscale pub grub, like the sweet and savory seared fois gras or hearty braised oxtail with gnocchi.

Maritime Pacific Brewing Company
Seasonal preparations of Penn Cove mussels and clams, buffalo-style clam strips, and habanero garlic fries are a few of the under $5 food items at this Ballard brewery with its pirate-themed Jolly Roger Taproom. Offered Monday through Friday from 3 to 6pm, the classic Maritime brews, like Portage Bay pilsner and Old Seattle lager, fill up pitchers for $10, pints for $3, and schooners for $2.

Schooner Exact
Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 5:30pm at this SoDo tasting room, recently expanded into a full-on brewpub. The tap lineup includes the 3-Grid IPA, King St. Brown, and Regrade Pale—Schooner draws on Seattle history for most of its beer name and knocks a dollar off all pints and growlers.  No happy hour food options, but a full menu of appetizers, salads, and sandwiches is offered daily from 11 to 9pm.

Redhook Brewery’s Forecaster’s Pub
After a facelift, the pub reopened this week flaunting a new sleek look. The Washington Beer Blog reported that the pub’s “entire vibe has changed: not only does it look different but it feels different. It is more sophisticated, more adult.” It’s still all ages, and offers happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6pm with 16oz beers for $3.50 and house wines for $4.  A grilled chicken quesadilla and pimento cheese with rosemary crackers bracket the menu of 11 food items ranging from $4 to $10.

Henry’s Tavern
Where can you get country fried chicken strips, a crab and avocado roll, and gorgonzola fries? Why, at this new SoDo beer bar's happy hour. But you’re really there for the 100 drafts that are all a dollar off from 3 to 6 daily, 9 to close Monday through Thursday, 10 to close on Friday and Saturday, and all day Sunday. A rosemary gimlet is just one of the many boozy concoctions offered for $5.

The Pine Box
You’ll never be drinking great beer alone at this morgue turned bar: The ghosts will lend an ear, or one of the friendly, knowledgeable bartenders. From 3 to 6 everyday, offerings from the 33 taps are a dollar off. And as Allecia Vermillion told us recently, James Beard Award winning chef, Scott Carsberg, has revamped the kitchen program. He’s kept with the initial focus of the original menu, small plates and pizza, but he’s elevated ingredients and presentation. And all food items are a dollar less during happy hour, too.
