Rising Star Chefs Party
In Seattle Met's June issue, our own Kathryn Robinson and Allecia Vermillion launched the first annual Rising Star Chefs list by naming five culinary artists that they agreed were the best up-and-comers on the Seattle restaurant scene today. This party is all about showcasing their talent by featuring fare from each chef (paired with lots of beer and cocktails, naturally), live music, and our house drag queen—all under a cool new event space. Tickets are $75 and benefit Global Partnerships.

RN74 Second Anniversary Dinner
The restaurant's celebration of its two-year milestone culminates with a grand finale reception and dinner of Dungeness crab salad, wild halibut, steak, brioche pain perdu, and Washington wine pairings from the restaurant's many local partners. Tickets are $135 (or $85 sans wine pairings) and seatings are available at 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30; reserve by calling 206-456-7612 or emailing [email protected].

Miyabi 45th and Epic Ales Dinner
Japanese gastropub Miyabi 45th and uberadventurous SoDo brewery Epic Ales join forces tonight for a collaborative dinner at Miyabi's Wallingford dining room. The night will feature seven courses by chef Mutsuko Soma, beer cocktails (and of course bottled and draft brews) from Epic Ales, and live music by Brazilian guitarist Marco de Carvahlo. Tickets are $60 and available by phone at (206) 632-4545.

The park's regular gluten-free options (including hot dogs, sandwiches, soups, snacks and even gluten-free beer) will be available in force, and discounted seating is available. Tonight is also fireworks night, so be sure to stick around after the game.

Serafina Annual Garden Party Extravaganza
A 23rd anniversary and the arrival of summer call for some kind of enchanted celebration. Serafina is celebrating both, with a whole-roasted pig, patio grilling, cocktails, gelato, live music, and even a photo booth. Don’t miss the Iron Bartender competition at 2pm, where five of Seattle’s best bartenders (Jay Kuehner of Vessel, Amanda Reed of Tavern Law, Luke McKinley of Ravish, Eric Hakkinen of Zig Zag, and Serafina's own MacGregor Boswell, also of Cicchetti) will go head to head to win the title of “most creative mixologist”. A $95 ticket gets you five courses, each with a unique cocktail, and a judging spot at the competition. The garden party is free, with food and drink tickets for $5 each.
