Join Fred Noe, master distiller, at El Gaucho for a whiskey pairing four-course dinner at 7. Being a seventh generation Beam family member, the guy must know his fair share about the spirits. 3 Howliday Release Party
Releasing a special hopped whiskey, 3 Howls is celebrating the launch with a party at Unicorn. Show up at 6 to try the new whiskey, which reportedly has a strong flowery, citrus nose, and some pine spice. More of a rum or gin person? Have no fear—the entire bar is being stocked with 3 Howls spirits. Be sure to bring some lightly used (or new) hats, gloves, coats, and clothes to hang on the Christmas tree for a clothing drive to benefit YouthCares.

Naughty or Nice: A Christmas Cabaret
Trying to add a little sultry fun to the evening? Try this three-act, four-course dinner at El Gaucho. Featuring burlesque entertainment hosted by Seattle’s ringmaster Armitage Shanks, the show allows you to simultaneously sip some wine and enjoy a meal; your choice of entree options are seared scallops, filet mignon, or curried chickpeas. Tickets are $125, plus tax and gratuity, and reservations can be made by calling 206-728-1337. Doors open at 7 and the dinner and show begin at 8. Make Christmas come early and get the $350 ‘nice’ package with two tickets to the show, an overnight stay in a junior suite at the inn, and valet parking.

Fruit Cake Extravaganza
Kathy Casey is hosting a special open house at the food studios in Ballard to try some of her delightful sips and appetizer samples starting at 11. She will also be selling her popular “Over 21” real fruitcakes made with Marker’s Mark, as well as specialty products from Dish D’Lish and Liquid Kitchen bar goods.
Big Holiday Blowout at Von Trapp’s
'Tis the season at the bier hall in Capitol Hill. Decking the space out with snow and sparkles, Von Trapp’s is bringing Christmas cheer with holiday festivities and daily deals. Starting at noon, the place will have a Usnaps photo booth in the fireplace den for holiday photo fun. And you can’t miss the Austrian Bavarian Village Band, starting at 5.

Holiday Funfest at Linda’s Tavern
Linda’s Tavern is always ready for a party—and this time a figgy-pudding-eating contest is involved. Come to this Capitol Hill spot starting at 9 for some holiday fun. DJ DaleFromWork will be fa-la-la-ing away on the dance floor with the holiday jams. Several winter beers will be available on tap, along with eggnog specials for the evening.
