The newest venture from Marcus Charles (Local 360, the Crocodile) is Alley Burger, a Portland-inspired food cart located behind Charles's Belltown bar The JuJu. Alley Burger serves up beer-appropriate grub (burgers, fries and chili fries, nachos, hot wings, chili), and—bonus—is open till 3am on weekends.

Turkey lovers rejoice: Former Food Network VP of Research Adam Gold is planning a casual, quick-serve turkey joint in Woodinville. Eater Seattle reports that Gold touts Gobble as "everything turkey, on a plate," so think hot dishes and sandwiches seven days a week. Opening date is slated for mid-October.
Roux: Ian Cargill
The popular tender, currently at Vito's and Vessel, and formerly of Tavern Law, will helm the bar at Roux, Matthew Lewis's forthcoming restaurant. He's planning to go big on beer (12 all-American brews, "a little heavier on lagers," a nitro beer tap) but also has New Orleans-style cocktails up his sleeve.
New York City could be the next location for the popular cafe and wine bar on First Avenue. Owner Paul Odom tells Eater Seattle he's ready to expand and has tasked a sales team in the Big Apple with making it happen.
Marie and Frères
After three years of selling rare single-origin chocolates on Westlake, the artisanal shop and showroom is closings its doors. But, owner Marie-Françoise Barnhart plans to keep growing the business and says she has "lots of things in the works."

Co-owners and first-time restaurateurs Walter Lee and Mari Tiscareño Lee are shuttering their Taiwanese/Mexican cantina after a rocky ten months of business, according to CHS. The prime Pike/Pine location will be transformed into an "upscale" restaurant, though further details are yet to be revealed.

Washington Beer Blog announced that the Baron Brewing taproom will open for the last time this weekend. Owner Jeff Smiley is leaving the beer industry to produce whiskey instead.
The West Seattle location of the popular wing joint is closing this weekend due to difficult economic conditions, according to West Seattle Blog. Other locations will remain open.
As of next week, the electic cafe on Stone Way will be no more. Wallyhood reports that local snowboard and ski company Evo has bought the building and is planning a remodel.
