What’s more, participants weren’t allowed to drink a drop from any of the bottles popped. According to Seattle Weekly, the Washington State Liquor Control Board prohibits customers from drinking while shopping at liquor stores. Staffers reportedly dumped all the wine—an estimated $3,000 worth—down the drain. Pity.

Metropolitan Market closed its upper Queen Anne shop but bought Magnolia Thriftway on 34th Avenue W. The local chainlet will convert the property into a sixth location after the New Year, according to Queen Anne View.

Thursday at 1:45, funnymen Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis play barista at Local Color Café. The stunt is meant to promote their upcoming political comedy The Campaign due in theaters August 10.
