WEDNESDAY June 13
RN74’s First Birthday
Downtown’s RN74 is toasting to its first year with a special "signature dishes" tasting menu on all month, an all-night happy hour party on Wednesday, June 13, and a special dinner on Thursday, June 14 (see below).

Top Chef on Tour
Two um, "non-top" chefs from Seasons 5 and 6 of the Bravo show will arrive in our city on Wednesday in the Top Chef-mobile, bringing games like a Top Chef-themed cornhole toss along with them. The truck will be parked at the Pavillions Centre in Federal Way, and the gang will be putting on live shows at 10:30, noon, and 1:30.

Pie Class with the Gluten-Free Girl
The Book Larder will be hosting Shauna James Ahern of Vashon Island, creator of the popular Gluten-Free Girl blog, which has become a cookbook, for a pie baking class. She’ll share her gluten-free secrets and you’ll get to eat pie. The $45 class runs from 6:30 to 8:30 and spots can be reserved online.

THURSDAY June 14
Grand Central Bakery’s 40th
The Pioneer Square location of the four-decade-old bakery will be selling its famous cinnamon rolls for 25 cents to celebrate its birthday. Come early; the deal runs out when the cinnamon rolls do.

RN74’s First Birthday, Cont.
Michael Mina is coming to town for a dinner that will be a reprise of the restaurant’s greatest (and most decadent) hits from its first year, from foie gras canapés to Maine lobster, halibut, duck, and lamb. Plus clafoutis and wine pairings. Tickets for the six-course dinner are $245.

FRIDAY June 15
Washington Brewers Festival
What better way to celebrate Father’s Day than with 200 beers in a park? Redmond will become beer-opolis for three days with 65 craft brewers and a few food trucks stationed at Marymoor Park for the weekend. Tickets range from $15 to $25, depending on which day you go and how you get your tickets, and the kids can indeed come along on Dad’s big day.

MONDAY June 18
Meet the Producer at Bastille
Erik Chapman of Sun Liquor Distillery will be at the Bastille bar from 4:30 to 6 pm, chatting about the liquors and encouraging happy hour attendees to taste his wares. Erik Carlson, Bastille’s bar manager, will also be whipping up two Sun Liquor based cocktails for $8 each.

BEYOND
June 23 In addition to his preference for coffee black as midnight, Special Agent Dale Cooper is a wine guy. Actor and Yakima native Kyle MacLachlan has been working with oenophile Eric Dunham of Walla Walla to create a couple new wines, and are bringing them to Tulalip Casino for a big dinner on the patio. The dinner begins at 5 and tickets are $115. Don’t forget to bring your Sex and the City box set to get signed.

July 13 Local beer and wine, live bluegrass, an all-you-can-eat clambake, seafood stews, a whole roasted pig, and a sweets station…sounds like just about all you could possibly need. And it’s on the beach at Woodmark Hotel on Carillion Point. And it’s a benefit for Hopelink. And tickets are only $39.

July 22 Skillet’s got all kinds of things to celebrate. Five years for the food truck, a year for the diner, and the launch of the cookbook. Joshua Henderson and his team are partying down at the Shilshole Bay Beach Club in Ballard from 4 to 10, and $60 gets you a copy of the book and a spot on the dance floor.

September 16 Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa herself, will be at Benaroya Hall this fall, chatting with Marché’s Greg Atkinson about cooking and entertaining.
