One of the tour’s 25 shops is Kirkland’s Serial Knitters. It carries yarn from bar crawl so please don’t act as if we aren’t speaking English when we tell you about this yarn shop crawl. Same theory, different indulgence. Way different feeling the next day.

The fifth annual clean-and-sober (okay, at least in relative terms), supercrafty crawl kicks off on Thursday, May 19 and runs through Sunday, May 22. The 25 participating shops knit out across the Puget Sound—Seattle, Burien, Bainbridge Island, even Bellingham.

Look for discounts on select yarn and free project patterns. Plus: prizes, which brings us to passports. You’ll want to pick up one at any of the shops—they’re available now. Bring the passport along as you…crawl, and once you’ve visited every shop, you’ll be entered in a drawing for the grand prize gift certificates. There’s one for $500, two for $250, and five for $100. And, each shop will also have a daily drawing for a goodie bag worth at least $50.

Visit the shops on Thursday and Friday between 10 and 8 and Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 6.
