TUESDAY November 22

Manhattan restaurant Eleven Madison Park, possessor of three Michelin stars and a passel of James Beard Awards, sends chef Daniel Humm and general manager Will Guidara to Seattle for a celebration of their much-lauded Eleven Madison Park: The Cookbook. The Canlis dinner with Jason Franey, Humm’s former sous chef, is sold out, but the EMP duo will be at Book Larder at 2pm. Most importantly, it’s free.

THURSDAY November 24

Plenty of places are offering Thanksgiving dinners for those of us looking to avoid cooking and/or our families, and we rounded them up for you in a convenient list or two. Most start around noon and include dessert, but if you need more, we also compiled a guide to Thanksgiving pies. And, if you can’t escape your family, you can ease the pain with a wine specially chosen to pair with Thanksgiving dinner.

FRIDAY November 25

Drink like you’re from the past, starting the day after Thanksgiving, with a Tom and Jerry from Vito’s. The eggnog-like concoction contains rum, rum, and rye, and is served hot, making it a great winter drink. Vito’s bar manager Justin Gerardy describes it as “goddamned delicious.”
