CAPITOL HILL
Steven Han (Umi, Kushibar) unveils his new Pike/Pine bar and restaurant Momiji on Wednesday. Headlining the food program is the mulit-course kaiseki menu invoking the culinary traditions of Kyoto.

CHS says to keep an eye out for modern Chinese restaurant Bako, opening on north Broadway across from the also-new Altura.

Poquitos sends word of a weekend brunch menu, launching October 8. Available from 11:30–3, expect classics like huevos rancheros and chilaquiles alongside more newfangled dishes like the chorizo and egg sandwich and the tortilla chips scrambled with eggs and shredded beef brisket.

DOWNTOWN
Daisley Gordon (of the late Campagne) will open Marché (not to be confused with the forthcoming Restaurant Marché on Bainbridge Island) in the erstwhile Campagne space this coming Friday. The wine bar and bistro hews French with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients.

PHINNEY RIDGE
From Phinneywood we hear of another new brunch, this one at Phinney Market Pub and Eatery. The morning menu is available 8–3 on weekends. Also new is a happy hour, on offer 3–5 daily.

QUEEN ANNE
Yet another new restaurant opening this weekend: Mezcaleria Oaxaca, sister to Ballard’s wildly popular La Carta de Oaxaca. The debut is set for Saturday, October 8, reports Eater.
