Volunteer Park Cafe is hosting a new monthly pop-up, Savage Street Cuisine. The dinners are put on by Rover’s chefs Kalen Schramke and David Howe and will draw on street foods from around the world.

A new food truck, Sweet Wheels is parking on Second and Pike every day noon–6. Find a variety of specialty ice cream sandwiches as well as chocolate-dipped ice cream bars, brownies, cookies, and mud pie.

KENT
Cal’s Classic American, the new restaurant from former Bastille chef Shannon Galusha, begins serving lunch and dinner on Saturday, October 22.

PHINNEY RIDGE
The Phabulous Phinney Pig Out takes place Thursday, October 13. Eat a meal at one of the 23 participating restaurants and help Phinney Neighborhood Association feed low-income, disabled, or elderly residents.

QUEEN ANNE
Beginning October 15 Molly Moon’s on Galer will serve “breakfast” from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays (and only at this location). On the menu are $6 bowls of Washington-grown steel-cut oats with maple bacon ice cream and toppings such as candied ginger, hazelnuts, chocolate, or dried fruit.

WALLINGFORD
Trophy Cupcake and Party owner Jennifer Shea will teach the basics of holiday decorating at the Trophy Party Room at Wallingford Center on October 19, November 17, and December 1 from 6 to 7:30pm. The first session will will focus on Halloween, with the following ones featuring Thanksgiving and Christmas ideas. Classes cost $50 or $125 for all three, call 206-390-0900 to inquire.
