Assuming the sun keeps treating Seattleites in the manner to which we are not accustomed, one of the best—and cheapest—entertainment bets for the season has got to be the Seattle Chamber Music Society Summer Festival, which starts Monday, July 6 at the Lakeside School.

Tickets are reasonably priced ($31-$42; $16 for students 25 and under with ID; $20 senior tix at the door subject to availability) but if you’re on a tight budget you can pack up your dinner and a blanket or chair to listen to pre-concert recitals and main concerts broadcast live outdoors onto the lawn.

Monday’s recital features Resphighi’s Sonata for Violin and Piano in B minor; the concert offers Debussy, Schumann and Brahms. Wednesday, the next program, brings Telemann, Paganini, Mendelssohn and more.
