A couple weeks ago, the Thunder treated its fans to your run-of-the-mill, death-defying halftime entertainment: a woman in chains attempts to free herself from a locked tank of water. No problem, right? Yeah, not so much. Escape artist Kristen Johnson told CNN that she thought she’d completed the trick successfully, but that’s only what her oxygen-deprived brain tricked her into thinking. Turns out, her partner, Kevin Ridgeway, had to bust her loose after she blacked out in the tank, as this YouTube video of the close-call shows.

The duo’s website calls their act "the event people won’t stop talking about." No kidding. And they’ve even posted the video, which, let’s be honest, is all kinds of creepy in a "capitalizing on the sudden national fame that your star’s near-death-experience has afforded you" kind of way.
