Zong Her wants to give you a garage.
The women came together after finding out they'll be relocating to places around the globe—Her to Afghanistan and Sue to France. (Camden is staying here with us, but could still use some some spring cleaning.) With overly full closets and no garage for a proper sale, they decided to create a bargain pop-up for the urban girl.
Her has been in the Army Reserve for over a decade—signing up when she was just 18 years old. For one weekend every month she works in the Army's transportation logistics department, which is in charge of moving soldiers to and from deployment locations. In April, Her will be heading to Afghanistan on her own deployment as she helps bring Army members back stateside.
But first, what to do with all those glam heels and cute cocktail dresses.
"I'm definitely not your typical Army soldier. Last week I went to a deployment conference and my unit didn't even recognize me in my fashionable civilian clothes," she says. "It was two days before anyone realized it was me."
Pick up some of Her's civvies (that's civilian clothes for us non-Army types) alongside goods from over 40 other vendors selling everything from clothes to accessories to small furniture items. And so no one has to take their unwanted items back to their now clean closets, all unsold wares will be donated to the local Goodwill following the sale.
The event is on Sunday, March 17 with a VIP preview sale from 9 to 11 and the public sale lasting from 11 to 2. RSVP for a free ticket online, or pay $20 to attend the presale event.
