The annual Goodwill Glitter Sale will be here before you can even finish up that leftover Halloween candy. The ever-popular sale that feature's Goodwill's stockpiled designer goods and vintage finds kicks off with a fundraising gala and fashion show on November 2 before the big shopping event November 9 and 10 from 9 to 6 each day at the International District location.

The big news this year is an attempt to eliminate the historically lengthy lines. As soon as you arrive at the sale pick up a number from the table out front. That number corresponds to your entrance order, and associates will be on hand to give you an estimate of when you'll get in. They'll make frequent announcements when it's your turn or text you when your number is called. You'll still need to get up early to grab a prime spot, but at least you can have a coffee (or a quick nap) in between to fuel up.

And to help you arrive on time, Goodwill has teamed up with Uber. New users can ride for free (up to $20) using the promo code GLITTERSEA.

Lastly, the award for this year's most coveted item goes to a turn-of-the-century Louis Vuitton trunk. It'll be for sale at the event as well as online—expect it to go quickly.
