Solestruck for Digs Ballard.

WHERE: Ballard's Digs furniture boutique

WHAT: Last year was a busy one for Digs owners Ben and Gretchen Knudsen. They closed their original Bellingham furniture store, reopened in Ballard (with a complete overhaul of the former Tae Kwon Do studio space), bought and remodeled a home, and capped off 2013 with the birth of their first child.

Now, showing no signs of slowing down, the duo has partnered with Portland's Solestruck, featuring Seattle's own Grey City Shoes, for a month-long footwear popup to celebrate the home store's first anniversary. It's also the first stop on Solestruck's national tour, and one of the only chances to shop the e-tailer's collection in person.

The PDX brand is known for its risk-taking edit (think eight-inch zebra-striped platform booties), but after the initial launch party Digs plans to host the more toned-down styles.

WHEN: Stop by the shop for the popup's launch party during the Ballard Art Walk on Saturday, March 8 from 7 to 10. Solestruck will be in store until April 6
