Cap Hill Crossfitters and spin cyclists, ready for something new? The city's fourth Pure Barre studio is coming to the Collins on Pine building at 12th and Pine (conveniently around the corner from our favorite juice bar) on January 4.
The hour-long ballet-based interval training classes focus on developing strength and sculpting long, lean muscles through a series of exercises that target the arms, thighs, core, and glutes. According to owner Sami Sweeney, participants can expect to burn around 400 calories per class and will notice changes in just ten sessions.
To kick off the new year, the Cap Hill, Bellevue, Queen Anne, and U District locations will launch a challenge aimed at fulfilling fitness resolutions. Participating barre goers are tasked with completing 50 classes in just 60 days between January 10 and March 10. Those that make it out will not only be rewarded with a lifted and toned physique, but also a prize pack that includes a free ten-class punch card.

Sweeney and Pure Barre have vowed to donate to Seattle nonprofit Get Hitched Give Hope if (when) I cross the finish line.
