Pacific Place newbie Emilie Sloan is hosting a dozen Etsy designers for the holiday season. Visiting local artists from the online handmade mecca include Baby Souls Couture Shoes, jewelry by Ashley Elaine Designs, and On the Hook's delicate crocheted pieces (pictured above). Finally, a chance to snag an Etsy item without the 5 to 7 day shipping wait.

When the rainproof-accessories shop opened in August, owner Lisa Murphy stressed to us that part of her goal for the brick-and-mortar was to showcase local artists, and we're excited to see that plan in action. Of the Etsy collaboration Murphy said in a statement, "Starting your own business is no easy feat and I wanted to give young artists an opportunity to showcase their work in a busy retail environment. I’m ecstatic for the customers to see the incredible workmanship on hand during our event."

Stop by the launch party (with cupcakes!) on December 1 from 1 to 4 for a chance to meet the artists involved. During the event, 10 percent of all sales will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project, an organization that helps military service members who suffered service-connected wounds, injuries, or illnesses on or after September 11, 2001 and their families.
