In the latest "trendy bike gear comes to Seattle" news: San Francisco messenger bag brand Timbuk2 is opening a local brick-and-mortar this spring—and not only will it be the first Seattle shop, but the first one outside SF.

The 1,400 square foot downtown space seems excessive will feature a huge selection of the popular messengers, backpacks, and travel bags as well as an interactive design station where you can create a custom carrier. Not so much a fixie fanatic? For Seattleites on four wheels or two feet, Timbuk2 also offers yoga totes and laptop cases.

And lest you forget the little guys, our city has its own burgeoning bicycle bag business. Local brands include Alchemy Goods, Detours, Swift Industries, and Velo Transit. With cycle style options like ours, it's no wonder we're the fourth most bike friendly city in America.
