Starting in February, the downtown Nordstrom will host a collaborative pop-up featuring the ten finalists from the 2012 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CDFA) and Vogue fashion fund competition.
The pop-up shops are only set to hit five Nordstrom stores nationwide, so we're feeling pretty lucky that the retailer calls Seattle home.
Included in the curated collection are casual west-coast cashmere from winner Greg Chait's Elder Statesman line, fashion-forward footwear from Tabitha Simmons, and stackable accessories from jeweler Jennifer Meyer.
The CFDA and Vogue annually select one emerging designer and two runner-ups to receive endowments from the partnership's fashion fund. Participants also get business mentoring from industry experts in areas like marketing, sourcing, and production.
The program has helped launch some of today's most notable designers: Alexander Wang, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Proenza Schouler, and Thom Browne are among the previous winners and runner-ups.
Meet last year's finalists and check out their work on Nordstrom's blog—you'll soon be saying you knew them when.
