Beauty brand Butter London—best known for its gorgeous lineup of three-free polishes, less known for having a headquarters right here in Seattle—just launched its first bespoke cosmetics collection of bright mascaras, luscious lip colors, and vivid shadows and liners.

The two best features of the new line: everything can be applied without a separate brush, and each product has at least two uses. (Oh, and it's all $20 or under.)

Global color ambassador Katie Hughes was in town last week on Butter's Rock Over Tour and demoed some of the line's multiuse abilities. Hughes likes to swipe some of the collection's colorful mascara onto eyelids for ultravivid pigment. She also mixes the cream eyeshadows in gold sun kiss and silvery alabaster gaze to create a luminous cheek highlighter.

Check out the rest of Hughes's tips and tricks in these online tutorials.

Her best advice? "If I get mascara on my eyelid while doing my makeup I don't try and remove it," she told us. "It's better just to smudge it around and get an edgy, Kate Moss-y look. As long as your foundation and face is clean and even, the eyes can be as intense as you want."

Gather up some of your bezzie mates (that's Brit for best friends) and get the just-launched collection at local Ulta stores and online. Keep a lookout as the products are set to hit Nordstom in the near future.
