Still thinking about new beginnings as 2014 wastes exactly no time marching right along? Good. The latest in Nordstrom's series of in-house popups bares that exact title, and focuses on hip, New Age-y goodness and goal reaching-incentives—and prizes.
At least that's how I'm reading the featured product, Karlie Forever, a style of long, lean denim made by Frame Denim in collaboration with extremely tall American model Karlie Kloss.
If one of your 2014 goals is to finally find a pair of jeans with a 40-inch inseam, prepare to cross that one right off your list when the in-store shop opens on Friday, January 10. It'll be live for about four weeks afterward.
Frame offerings are set to include exclusive-to-Nordstrom jackets, shirts, and sweatshirts in addition to denim; that whole you-can-only-get-it-here thing is what the store's pop-ins are all about.
Exhibit B (at the Flagship only): Private astrology readings (and sips and bites) on Tuesday, January 14 from 6 to 8 with the Astro Twins, one very cool half of whom—Tali Edut—lives right here in the Emerald.
And aura readings.
Yeah, aura readings. I have no idea either—other than that the store's venerable technology team is behind them. But follow me on Instagram (@elcassidy222) and Facebook because I'm headed there today, Thursday, January 9, to get the pre-opening scoop—and capture my own for all to see.
(I mean, you know, in so far as auras can be shared via social media and all.)
In terms of general shopability, if you should happen by in the coming weeks you'll want to check out the skin care line Kora Organics by actress Miranda Kerr, a new style by shoe designer and Brit It girl Tabitha Simmons, new styles of bullet casing- and gem-studded jewelry by Unearthen designer Gia Bahm, Manic Panic hair dye, and, in addition to other texts (many astrological in nature), Pretty Much Everything, a photobook by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin (pretty much the coolest couple on the planet).
Oh and if one of your 2014 initiatives is to keep camp more clean and cut down on clutter, check out the stealthy Dyson Digital Slim.
