Excellent food truck Street Treats operates a cart just outside the Armory. On offer are eight flavors of homemade ice cream, available in sandwiches (do yourself a favor and order one of these), cones, cups, and floats.

Fremont sensation Pie opened a full-scale operation (owners Renee Steen and Jess Whitsitt’s second location) at the Armory in late May. A dozen varieties of sweet and savory palm-sized pies are baked on the spot.

Also-excellent food truck Bigfood has yet to open its outpost. When it does, look for those signature flatbread sandwiches topped with Caribbean and East Indian goodness. Also still to come is the health- and kid-focused cafe Bean Sprouts.
