We’re partnering with ratings company Avvo to present a comprehensive survey of the best health-care providers in the Seattle metropolitan area. Practitioners with the highest Avvo Ratings will be listed in Seattle Met’s best-selling Top Doctors feature in August 2011. Read on to learn more….

  • More Doctors Surveyed Avvo’s approach to doctor ratings and searchable database of 800,000 U.S. practitioners increases the breadth and depth of Seattle Met’s survey.
  • More Than a Vote of Confidence In addition to the respected endorsements of other doctors, factors such as continuing education, awards, fellowships, hospital privileges, and disciplinary history can improve your rating.
  • Search for Doctors via seattlemet.com Our 2011 partnership with Avvo makes it easier than ever for patients to find doctors.
  • In-Depth Online Profiles Links from seattlemet.com to doctor profiles at avvo.com will give patients greater confidence in your expertise and quality of care.
  • Patient Reviews, though not factored into a doctor’s Avvo Rating, are available via your profile, giving prospective patients a more complete picture of your practice.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

  • Act Now During March and April, Seattle Met and Avvo are reaching out to medical professionals via phone,

    email, and the web to ensure their participation in this year’s survey.

  • It’s Easy Visit avvo.com to endorse your peers, add information about your practice, and improve your rating.
  • It’s Completely Free to endorse peers and create a thorough profile that accurately represents you and your practice.
  • UPDATED 4/21/11 4/26/11 5/2/11: Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Naturopaths, Optometrists, and Podiatrists ‒ Avvo is still developing its ratings for your specialties, so we are conducting a peer-review survey in your fields starting Monday, May 2. Deadline for nominations will be midnight on Friday, May 13.
