King County Executive candidate Dow Constantine's new TV ad has a killer surprise ending:

Not bad. Although the allusion to a 'killer surprise ending' built my hopes up that an orca whale would jump onto the boat and eat him (a la Deep Blue Sea). Not that I dislike Dow, but it would have really changed this race. I'm pretty sure there's a clause in the King County Charter that states that in such a situation, the whale takes over his candidacy. In face, that's how we ended up electing Seattle's first orca mayor in 2001. zing!

Cute. It would be great if he jumped into the Duwamish River to show his commitment to clean up the Super Fund sites! Hmmm...that might have ruined (disintegrated)his suit though.

At last, a pol who can walk with the blue collars wearing a suit and hard hat and not look out of place. It seems to be MO for every pol to do a photop wearing a hard hat. Dow looked comfortable. From Kerry's bunny suit at NASA to Dukakis tank shot, it shows how out of touch these guys are. As a disclaimer, I don't know if in real life has done any of this work or not.
