Kathlyn Ehl, whose Twitter page identifies her as a "policy aide" to Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob McKenna, posted a couple of tweets---one late last year and one in late January---that make us wonder, once again, if kids these days simply don't realize tweets are public.

Ehl does not show up on McKenna's campaign finance reports as a paid staffer, though McKenna's campaign promoted Ehl's Twitter feed on Friday as a Follow Friday (#FF) post. McKenna's campaign has 783 followers.

The tweet from January reads simply, "shut up and speak english #asians."

The second, from late last year, reads, "If it takes you an entire green light to walk in front of my car GET A WHEELCHAIR#toooldtowalk."

We expect the tweets to disappear shortly, but screen shots are forever.

According to her LinkedIn profile, prior to working for McKenna, she worked as an intake specialist at the Legal Action Center, which provides legal assistance to low-income who are facing eviction and other tenant issues. Before that, she worked as a research intern for King County's alternatives to incarceration program; and before that, she worked for the UW Dream Project, which---irony alert---helps first-generation immigrants and low-income kids who want to go to college.

We have a call out to McKenna's campaign manager and are trying to track down Ehl.
