Mike Quixote O'Brien will introduce a resolution that would put three agreements between the state and the city on the deep-bore tunnel on the ballot in August. The referendum would effectively overturn the council's vote (coming Monday---spoiler alert: It'll be 8-1) to overturn Mayor Mike McGinn's veto overturning the council's signature on the agreements.

"The last time the public voted was in the beginning of 2007 and 69.65% said they did not want a risky tunnel at that point," O'Brien wrote in a blog post. "This is a new tunnel, but the risks are even greater, and the impacts outlined in the supplemental draft environmental impact statement are significant.  You deserve to have a chance for your voices to be heard."

The election would be during the upcoming primary, on August 16.
