After Chris Kissel's voting party at the Comet on Capitol Hill last night, a metal band called Wizard Boots came on and started singing about the space devil, which was nice, but sent a pack of us looking for a quieter place to continue debating the issues.

We went around the corner to Vermillion and locked down at a corner table. It was quieter at Vermillion, but there was a local opera singer, Janna Wachter, performing spontaneous arias in the hallway with an improv dancer.

Later, Wachter joined our table and, hitting some high Cs, fit right in with the political discussion.
