Mayor Mike McGinn has reportedly ordered a major shakeup at the city's human services department, where three top-level positions are being eliminated, the deputy director is being reassigned, and two people are due for "further evaluation."

The jobs that are being cut are: head of youth development and achievement Eric Anderson; head of early learning and family support Bea Killeigh; and head of domestic violence and sexual assault prevention Terri Kimball.

Deputy HSD director Sara Levin (who did not immediately return a call for comment) has been reassigned to a new job as director of fiscal and contract management.  And two other top-level HSD employees, homelessness intervention and bock grant administration head Al Poole and aging and disability services head Pam Piering are undergoing "further evaluation."

Mayor Mike McGinn's spokesman Aaron Pickus said he had no comment. "When we have an announcement, we'll have an announcement," Pickus said.

McGinn ousted former mayor Greg Nickels' head of human services, Alan Painter, as one of his first acts as mayor elect in December 2009.
