Cyclist Was Trapped Under Car in West Seattle, Seriously Injured - UPDATE
The P.I. has the story:
A bicyclist suffered serious injuries Thursday morning after being struck by a car on Southwest Admiral Way in West Seattle.
The 40-year-old man was briefly pinned underneath the car following the 8:20 a.m. accident near the base of Admiral Way near the West Seattle Bridge, Seattle Fire Department spokeswoman Dana Vander Houwen said. Firefighters used airbags to lift the car off of the cyclist, who was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.
West Seattle Blog is on it, too. One commenter at WSB, Erik, had these details to add:
We were also one of the first to arrive on the scene. The bicyclist was conscious though in a lot of pain. A group of us were able to jack the front of the car up just enough to take some pressure off his chest before the fire department arrived. Praying for all involved and thankful for the incredibly fast response time of the fire department.

UPDATE 11:30: WSB has a video interview with a rescue worker. Apparently the biker is in "relatively stable" condition.
