Afternoon Fizz: Rossi Gets Extension on Disclosing Personal Finances

All federal candidates are required to disclose their personal finances.

GOP U.S. Senate candidate Dino Rossi was supposed to turn his in last Friday. However, according to a June 25 letter from the Senate's Select Committee on Ethics, Rossi asked for an extension and was given until July 21.

We've got a message in to his campaign to find out why he asked for the extension.

Sen. Patty Murray's (D-WA) personal financial disclosures are here. She is the 77th richest person in the U.S. Senate with a net worth between $400,000 and $1 million.

Interesting that he's holding off...two guesses: 1 - He's made lots of money and is sensitive to where he made it and how it looks, or 2 - He's not doing so well and he's fearful that the disclosure forms will suggest he's running (and has made a career-ette out of it) for the money. If I'm reading it correctly, the letter from the Senate suggests he is allowed a total of 90 days worth of extensions...I have to assume that the 21 days he's been granted will be all he's allowed. Seems he's given an issue - albeit a little one - to Didier and the right-wing gang that doesn't trust him

The last time he had to file a disclosure form he "forgot" that he received a $50K "loan" from his "mentor" who is under investigation for running a $100 million ponzi scheme.
