Birthday (Pan)cake

I am bringing my wife to Seattle for her 50th birthday. Wanting to make this the best vacation ever…. See you September 7 for breakfast (The New Seattle Breakfast, March 2012).

More Than One Way
to Fry a Chicken

Welp, the boss got a write-up for his boneless chicken and waffles (The New Seattle Breakfast, March 2012), so now I’ll never talk him into doing it the right way…

Drinks for Nondrinkers

I am a nondrinker; I appreciate a creative alternative to order when my buddies are getting cocktails (Where to Find Nonalcoholic Drinks in Seattle, February 28, 2012).

Juicy Fruit

Add Sun Liquor to the list (Where to Find Nonalcoholic Drinks in Seattle, February 28, 2012). All juices are fresh squeezed and the virgin mai tai is amazing.

Inspirational Nonspirited Offerings

Sutra offers amazing nonalcoholic pairings with its five-course, vegetarian meals (Where to Find Nonalcoholic Drinks in Seattle, February 28, 2012). Can’t wait to try these other places on your list as well.

So Long

This is sad news (Le Gourmand, Sambar to Close, February 9, 2012). I am happy for the owners’ new adventures, but will miss Bruce and Sara Naftaly dearly. There is no other bar like Sambar and no other bartender like Jay Kuehner. Thank you for setting the standard of great dining in Seattle.

Never Forget

Sad (Le Gourmand, Sambar to Close, February 9, 2012). But happy for new and wonderful adventures. I will miss the exquisite scent of jasmine while sitting in a fairy tale setting, petite croque monsieurs with sharp mustard, and the simply decadent cocktails.

Root Boost

I have been going to Cristy and Anjanette at Cristy Carner Salon for close to 10 years (Hair ’Do-Overs, March 2012). They are both creative and have the skills to make my superthin, straight hair look good. This place is always alive and dynamic, as are the people.

Inner Blonde

I have been going to Anjanette at Cristy Carner Salon to bring out the blonde inside me for nearly 13 years (Hair ’Do-Overs, March 2012). She puts a lot of effort into getting you the correct color and products for your hair. Good choice, Seattle Met!

Nights of Cabiri

The Cabiri would be a fantastic show (Poll: What Concerts Do You Want to See at Waterfront Park This Summer?, February 17, 2012). They’ve got a cool aerial dance troupe and everything.

Take Me Out to the Ball

Moondoggies and Hey Marseilles (Poll: What Concerts Do You Want to See at Waterfront Park This Summer?, February 17, 2012)—plus a shuttle and reduced parking fees; that should do the trick.

In the March 2012 “Hair” feature, the name of salon Ten Pachi was misspelled as Tenpachi.
