Even as a puppy Murphy was a natural in front of the camera. He loves striking a pose and hamming it up for pictures. Oh, he loves eating ham too.

Lola came to our family about three years ago from a local rescue. Just three months after getting her, Lola broke both her front legs and had to have metal plates put in them. Despite eight weeks of wraps and recovery, Lola maintained her playful, happy, and lovable attitude. She continues to be a integral part of our family, and we cannot imagine our house without her.

This photo involved a bag of Pixie ’s favorite treats, a friend standing in as a pet handler, a bit of patience, and about a half hour laying on the ground fiddling with camera settings. Luckily, in addition to being an adorable hunk of pugalicious beauty, Pixie the Wonder Pug is also a total ham for the camera.

Our Peggy Sue loves to pose for pictures. How could anyone resist our adorable little sheltie?

This is our sweet yellow lab Lewis. He is our daughter’s service dog and a therapy dog. Wherever we go people stop us because he is just so sweet and lovable—they have to pet him.

This is Ramona ‘s first trip to the beach. It was taken after hours of romping through the mist and chasing waves. This is the cutest photo in the world because A) Ramona is the cutest dog in the world, B) her smile and proud beach stance, and C) her little legs and big ears. She’s sure to prompt several awwws and exclamations over how gosh dang adorable she is!

Riley is our beloved two-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog. One of her favorite things to do is visit her grandma, who lives in Lake Chelan. This picture was taken after a day of visiting various wineries in the area. Riley helped herself to the cork from our bottle of Karma Methode Champenoise for a wine tasting of her own!

This is Latka being his joyful, charming self! We got him from a rescue two years ago, and he quickly became the love of our lives.

Delaney loves to sit and sleep on the top of our couch cushions. One day, my twin sister was home and took this picture of her in a serene moment. It is like she is literally posing for the camera. Delaney is a West Highland White Terrier with tons of Westitude! She is feisty, and I am very happy my sister caught her in a moment of calmness in this adorable picture!

My husband and I adopted Emma from the PAWS shelter in Lynnwood just after we got engaged in January 2010. At the time, she was 40 pounds. Our now 65-pound Rhodesian Ridgeback mix—who turned two years old just a couple weeks ago—is the most spoiled dog we know. I love this photo because when we adopted Emma, the shelter estimated she had been “on the run” for about two weeks or so. She was skinny and was missing a lot of the hair on her face. This photo shows how beautiful and happy she has become, and makes me smile every time I see it. I know we made the right choice adopting. It can come with its own challenges, but we were very lucky and wouldn’t trade Emma for the world. She’s loving, friendly, and the best friend anyone could ask for.

Being a Swiss Mountain Dog, Heidi loves the snow! Even the Seattle Snowpocalypse can’t stop her from being outside.

We call Murphy our little Irish scrapper because he’s a rescue dog with a short build and gorgeous red hair. Even though we don’t know what breed he is, we do know he is a looker, and boy, does he know it too! Among his favorite things are chasing birds and posing for cameras. With eyes that could pierce your soul, we can’t help but think he’s the reincarnation of a famous actor yearning for his return to the spotlight. We call his picture “Hope”.

This is baby Miso on her first day of modeling for treats. I believe she posed for nearly five hundred treats that day. Or at least she tried because we certainly could not resist that pink nose and those crazy lizard eyes.

Bella, a one-year-old Boston Terrier, only knows responds to two words, “sit” and “treat.” Here she did both!

This is our sweet, shy dog Millie. She was so excited when we returned from a trip, that she jumped up on the chair and waited for us to snap this cute photo. One of our relatives, who is an artist, painted a watercolor from this photo, too.

My English/American Bulldog Theodore loves to go for rides, offroading in my Jeep. This shot was taken with his big head poking out of the backseat window, in Kenmore. He was very interested in why a kayaker was carrying the big yellow banana on his head.

My one-year-old corgi Eddie loves hiding his treats. I gave him a special doughnut-shaped biscuit one day, and he wandered around the house for 30 minutes trying to find a place to hide it. I snapped this picture in the midst of his search for the perfect hiding spot!

Maddox loves getting his picture taken and likes to get as close as he can to the camera!

Georgie Tara is a most willing photo subject, showing off the holiday collar I made for her. Oh, and she answers to Princess!

Ellie sleeps on her dog bed next to my bed. I woke up one morning and saw her just sitting there staring at me, waiting to be fed. With the morning light coming in, I thought this picture turned out super cute.

Rikki Tikki Tavi is so happy to finally have found his forever home.

Bruce had just met my older sister and was trying so hard to show off how good he could sit for her. So she grabbed her camera and took this shot.

Apollo

Rocco is an 11-month-old French Bulldog who moved from Southern California to Seattle about six months ago. He hasn’t gotten his head stuck in anything, but he’s cute in so many other ways. He loves squeaky toys, his plastic set of keys, finding sticks in the yard, and spinach. Just one picture doesn’t capture all of his cuteness, but I’ve included a great one of Rocco that I think encapsulates his sweet personality.
