Queen of the avant-garde. Enfant terrible. Bad girl. For more than 30 years, Montreal dancer Marie Chouinard has been making a statement with wildly provocative choreography—dropping raw eggs onstage, or undulating and growling while wearing animal horns. Her company’s partially nude Le sacre du printemps, to be performed at Meany Hall, is a fitting companion to Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring, which caused a riot when it premiered in 1913.
