Toi Taco
What once was Denny Deli is now Toi Taco.

The corner storefront at 2134 Westlake Avenue (in the building near Whole Foods that used to house the Marie and Frères showroom) has long stood vacant, sparking speculation as to who or what would occupy such a prime piece of real estate. Now, months after Denny Deli went dark, comes an answer: Toi Taco.

The menu at the casual fusion counter is ripe for SLU office drones in need of a quick fix (and who don't care to brave the lines sure to form at Shanik takout Tiffin a few blocks up). Tacos are $3; options include short rib, spicy pork, ginger-soy chicken, fried tofu, or prawns in sweet chili sauce. Those same proteins appear in the $8 wraps stuffed with rice, kimchee, and slaw, as well as the $7 banh mi (but only does the latter include a slick of jalapeño spread). A noodle salad goes for $5, and according to Thrillest is loaded with crab and cucumber.

Hours are 11–7 weekdays and 11–3 ("maybe 4," according to employees) on Saturday.
