Sushi Samurai
Queen Anne View spreads the word
 that a sushi shop opened last week at 1817 Queen Anne Ave N. The restaurant is family friendly and serves rolls, nigiri, and sashimi with an emphasis on sustainable sourcing. You can drop in for lunch and dinner on weekdays and for dinner on weekends.

Pane Pane
The gourmet sandwich shop debuted downtown last week at Third Ave and Union. Pane Pane (pronounced pan-eh pan-eh) bakes all its bread in-house and throughout the day and sandwiches start at $2.99.

The Beach House
A nautically themed restaurant opened recently at Pleasant Beach Village on Bainbridge Island. The menu has an American steak house vibe. Beach House is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 to 10pm and seats 77 people including the bar area and a patio with stunning views of the bay

CLOSINGS

The Golden Olive
Wallyhood has news of the the neighborhood Mediterranean restaurant's quiet closing last Saturday. Golden Olive's Facebook confirmed the restaurant is closed but said the restaurant's chef will be available for private catering.

COMING SOON

Vecino
The owners of Little Water Cantina and the team behind Prost, Feierabend, and other beer destinations are teaming up to open a Mexican restaurant in the former Carmelita, space, according to Phinneywood. Vecino will focus on local, sustainable and organic Mexican fare, and the owners also plan to have a number of vegetarian options. Vecino will be open sometime in the spring.

Freddy’s
Another burger shop is rumored to open on Capitol Hill in the near future. Freddy Rivas, who also owns Rancho Bravo, is keeping mum about his new venture, but CHS reports the menu will be somewhere between upscale and penny-pincher.

MEALS

Lost Lake Cafe and Lounge
Capitol Hill’s 24-hour diner is starting a weekday breakfast happy hour from 6 to 9am, designed to be quick and inexpensive. Breakfast items include French toast, buttermilk pancakes, and mimosas, and bloody Marys—all of which are under $5.

Cupcake Royale
The Seattle-based cupcake and ice cream shop is selling scoops of ice cream for $2 on Tuesdays all month long. Tuesdays in July just got a little cooler.

Bimbo's Cantina

Bike messengers are now available to peddle through Capitol Hill with Bimbo’s signature giant burritos between 5 and 10pm every day. There’s no delivery fee, but there is a $20 minimum.
